Cheap, noisy, and not compatible with iPhone 4

I'll admit -- the item I received was white, not black, so it's possible what was sent to me was not the current model that's pictured here. But this is what I ordered to go with my new iPhone 4. And it doesn't work.

1) The jack does not fit securely or tightly into the iPhone's docking port. It sits there loosely, and the iPhone doesn't recognize that it's even plugged in unless you physically hold it up flush against the bottom of the phone. Makes it kinda hard to drive...

2) If you're trying to listen to music while this is plugged in, you're going to be sorely disappointed. This charger is LOUD. The static coming through the speakers was louder than the music itself.

3) It doesn't appear to actually be compatible with the new iPhone 4. Even when it's fully plugged in (by physically holding the plug in), a message pops up on the phone that says that the charging accessory is not compatible with this device.

So, it doesn't fit, it's obnoxiously loud, and for all that, it doesn't actually charge your phone. I thought because this was an official AT&T charger and a bit pricier than the $1 chargers you see here on Amazon that it might actually be a quality product. It's not -- it's cheap and ineffective. NOT a recommended purchase.

I'd recommend it if you have the iPhone 4s.

High Hopes Dashed

I ordered three of these, one for each vehicle, after reading lots of good reviews. My experience however was disappointing. Two of the three chargers didn't work at all. One appears to work just fine... but given the other two were dead, I asked to return the entire order since I didn't trust the third one to last long. The seller immediately refunded my purchase (great service), so now I'm ordering another product. We'll see how that one works out.
