Great Item! Installation Tips in My Review!
By jtp
This product is really great and works really well. Each wire's function is described on the back of the packaging using the color coding system. So, if you do not know what you are doing, this really helps.
So, I want to help others (if possible) using my medium amount of experience (I have done stereo removals and installs in several cars) so here are my tips if you are doing this for the first time:
1. Buy a in-dash stereo mounting kit for your car. This is a must so the stereo will fit in your car securely. Amazon has a whole bunch so you can most likely find the one you need. Here is an example of the one I used: [...] (I hope these links work).
2. Buy a radio/stereo wiring harness that matches your car. You hopefully are doing this right now with this product.
3. Buy the proper tools to get your old stereo out and the new one in: Wire strippers (if you don't already have them), butt splices/connectors (for the wires), and auto fastener/remover tools ([...] or "Astro Pneumatic 4505 5-Piece Fastener and Molding Remover Set" is the set I used and recommend).
4. In regards to wiring the new stereo, if you don't know what you are doing, watch this video: "How to wire / install a car stereo / deck (aftermarket head unit installation with butt connectors)" = [...]
5. if you are a beginner, get a friend or someone to help you do it because it is always nice to have another pair of hands and another opinion when you are doing it.
6. In regards to taking out your old stereo, look for a stereo removal video on youtube that matches your car. Those are a huge help. Here is the one I found highly useful for my Toyota Corolla: "Radio Removal Toyota Corolla 2003 -2008" on youtube or directly = [...]
7. Have fun doing it! I really enjoy doing this and I hope you do to!
If you have any other questions, just comment on this review and I will try to get back to you and help you out as soon as I can. I hope this helped and best of luck to you.

Doesn't fit all Toyota 87-Up
By Viperflex
I own a 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and this Wiring Harness does not work. I even typed in my vehicle type on Amazon to make sure it "works with my vehicle" but unfortunately when I took out the stock stereo there was a different connection. I have since reordered a Toyota 20 pin wire harness to see if it will work, even though it is not recommended by Amazon, but looks exactly like the one I need. I would recommend removing the stock stereo first prior to ordering. I will complement Amazon on the prices though as this cost me $3.75 online and would have cost $19.99 at Best Buy.
Update: The Metra 70-8113 Toyota 20 pin, that I ordered after the Metra 70-1761, ended up fitting perfect. It even states on the packaging for the 70-8113 that it is for Toyota 2000 and up. Good quality and no issues.

Metra Car Audio Products Are Easy to Work With
By Danny in K.C.
I used a variety of Metra products to install a Pioneer DVD player in my 2007 Corolla and ALL the products worked great and came with very easy to follow instructions. I pulled a factory stereo from the car and a few hours later, was watching DVD's. The Metra wiring kits all had very clear instructions and the wires were easy to find "by color" and hooked to my factory harness. There were no surprises and I had to cut nothing. Some shrink wrap, wiring connectors or electrical tape was all I you would need to hook up the Metra kit to your radio or OEM wiring.
